This one is perfect for mess-free play! All you need is a paintbrush with water and it colors the cloth bright black. Let dry and then re-use as many times as you want. You can lay flat on the floor, table, or stick on wall. It's super fun and cheap!

Link for Amazon HERE.

Trust me, this is such a great purchase and the price is great!

2. Puzzles that are easy to store

I don't know about you, but saving space is essential! These Mudpuppy Puzzles come in their own pouch to store. Plus, the illustrations are super nice. Here is the Link for Amazon (Safari Puzzle): Click HERE

These are perfect for the kiddos that are past the big wooden puzzle phase.

I'm going to have to direct you to a new page here because so far we've tried and liked so many I decided to make a post just about puzzles.

Do I need to say more? I've been waiting for the right time to get these! Open play at it's finest. I know I don't usually go for plastic, but this will be one of my exceptions. The colors are bright and inviting and the pieces are the perfect size for little hands. Amazon link HERE. There are two sizes for this one. We started with the smallest to see if she would enjoy them. She does! My husband is so excited he's already bought her the advanced LEGO, for her to watch him build.

The pieces of these are small, so please don't leave your child unsupervised. However, my daughter is completely hooked with this adorable set. She loves to put the animals in their houses and match their plates with the food and color. Click HERE to buy on Amazon. We're slowly getting her all the Hape House accessories to put in her Ikea Wooden House.

We are building our animal collection. I love the realistic look of these animals, they are sturdy and seem like they will last a lifetime. You can buy them as little surprises. When she gets really excited about an animal we've read about I usually try to pair it with a figurine. She plays with these a lot.

Some links for some animals:

6. Indoor Slide

This has been a lifesaver with all the playgrounds off limits. I desperately needed her to be more active. The balance board that we use for a slide is getting a little to small for her. Believe me, I am NOT a fan of a huge plastic slide in my tiny apartment. But just 5 days in, it's been amazing! I'm sad to say these are pretty much out-of-stock everywhere. I don't want to recommend something I haven't tried myself. I found mine in Target. But I'm afraid it's out of stock online again.

7. Sandbox

We already had this one, but it's another thing that is making this quarantine easier. If you have space in your balcony or have a house I highly recommend! It's not available through Amazon, but here is the link via Little Tikes website. Oh, and for the sand I went to Lowes, and bought two bags of sand. I'm not sure if that's open right now. As I said, we already had this set up.

This toy also helps Improve Fine Motor Skills, it has different types of latches to open and close. Don't all kids love that? This has been one she keeps asking for. Really, really loves it. Play Old Mc Donald on loop and you have entertainment for 15 straight minutes! This was a birthday gift, so Thank You Belu!;)

Here is the link for Amazon.

9. Stackable Rainbow

This was also a Birthday Gift from grandparents- gracias! But I'm including it because it's one she continuously plays with. I would say daily. Yes, it's pricey. I am also linking the "cheapo" version, that she also plays with, it's a fraction of the price. Not the same function or quality. If you can invest in the 'real' one, consider it! It's a timeless toy and provides open-ended and creative play. Here are the links for the different alternatives. I can't seem to find the pastel color one she has. Might be out of stock.

10. Stroller

This has been a GREAT way to get my little one walking all around the apartment and in the park without her wanting to touch anything because she has BOTH her hands on this. So even though it's not a stroller, definitely recommend something they can push. The one we have is from Pottery Barn Kids. But any stroller would do. I'm not going to link any from Amazon because I haven't tried them.

11. Gymnastic Ribbons.

We bought a ten pack of these and leave a few in the car for when we're in the park. We also use these daily for dance party time at our house! Perfect for Gross Motor and Crossing the Midline. She's been playing with these daily. These Kids' Gymnastics Ribbon Wands are 6.6 ft long, which is great because she needs to move her arms around a lot to create shapes and waves. 10 ribbons come in this pack. At first she struggled to use them, but after a while, she's a pro.

12. Design and Drill Activity Center

As you know, I am not a fan of plastic toys. This was a lovely hand-me-down gift from one of Victoria's friends. We love to share toys we don't use anymore and this was the last one we received. She loves it, so I had to add to this list. This is from Educational Insights and it's called the Design and Drill Activity Center.

A pretty good STEM toy, you can work on early math skills. Children can sort and count the bolts, map out all kids of designs. Also good for fine motor skills. The drill is fully functioning, and my daughter learned how to use it in no time. This set includes: 120 chunky plastic bolts, reversible power drill, screwdriver, combination wrench, 2 drill bits, and 10 double-sided, easy-to-follow design activity cards.

13. Water Beads

Want to try out Water Beads? Well we bought these to try and they worked well! Also we left out in the sun and they shrunk back so, they're re-usable :) Please, don't leave your child unsupervised with these.

These are very reasonable priced. Don't be surprised when they come in because the bottle is tiny. However, a little goes a long way! I used in her old bath tub and let her have fun with them with cups, bowls, tongs, etc.

There are versions with much larger balls. Be sure to check which ones you would like. The ones we used here are fairly small.

13. Magnetic Tiles

Another one of the toys we have used almost daily during this stay home season. We've tried two types so far

Picasso Tiles and Playmags between both of these I like the Playmags better. I feel they're magnets are stronger and you can build sturdier designs. However, their 100 piece includes a lot of "extra" non-magnetic tiles, such as windows and letters. So basically you're getting only around 50 tiles. While Picasso Tiles, you're actually getting 100 tiles for 50 dollars. Both are these are compatible with each other.
